The Danube River, with its numerous branches and the Danube Delta, provides excellent opportunities for camping and outdoor activities. The country is home to the expansive Puszta or steppe. And the scenic Lake Balaton, known as the “Hungarian Sea”. In the northeast, the Tokaj region is famed for its world-class wines, while the Bükk National Park, Hungary’s largest, offers lush forests and rich biodiversity.
Also, Hungary is known for its famous red wine regions. Including Eger, Balaton, and in general the southern part of the country. The wine culture is an important part of the Hungarian culture and if you are there you should definitely try it!
A secret tip is: that Mosonmagyaróvár, a tributary of the Danube flows through the region, which offers blooming nature and is also a dream for camping, kayaking, and rafting.
