Summer is just around the corner and where better to spend it than in the Mediterranean pearls of Europe?
The sun, the turquoise waters, and simply the Mediterranean serenity are tempting. You can find some pearls in the European Mediterranean, and these are just the beginning:

Positano is located on the Amalfi Coast, a real Mediterranean pearl in its own right. Steep cliffs on which the pastel-coloured houses of the small towns are built.
In Positano, too, the little houses nestle together in narrow alleyways. As you stroll through, you’ll find boutiques and culinary highlights such as fresh fish and delicious lemon specialties. There are also many small bays where you can spend an afternoon just by relaxing in the sun and listening to the sound of the waves.

Once a small fishing village, Cassis now shines as a sparkling gem on the Côte d’Azur, nestled between Cap Canaille and the spectacular Calanques. The almost fjord-like coastline, forms hidden bays that beg for a swim or a sun-soaking pause. And if you want to enjoy the magic offshore, take a boat trip and glide on the water, while a glass of local white wine is in your hand. The wine shrubs characterize the landscape but also the evergreen bushes which typically grow there, make the otherwise very dry area always shine green.

Mdina is in the southwest of the island state of Malta and known as “the Silent City”. Early in Malta’s history, Mdina was the capital. Even if this is no longer the case today, there are still many remnants from this time to marvel at, like its old city wall which is still the functional border of the town. If you are walking on it, you can enjoy a view of the whole island.
The name “the silent city” comes from times after it was no longer a capital and was increasingly forgotten. Nowadays, of course, there is a bit more going on, but especially in the evening, when many travelers and workers leave the city again, you can still find it very quiet.
As mentioned at the beginning, these are just a few of the Mediterranean pearls Europe has to offer. whether stylish, wildly romantic or steeped in history – these Mediterranean summer destinations stand for unforgettable vacation moments. So which one will you choose?
