Italy is undoubtedly the most popular destination in Europe due to the beauty of its cities and countryside. But besides this, it is also due to the culinary in Italy. World-famous dishes such as pizza or risotto, and less well-known delicacies, also contribute to its allure. Have you ever tried something like Torta di Tagliatelle, which is a cake topped with pasta?

Food:

Italian cuisine is celebrated, and rightly so. Many of the dishes are actually not that difficult, the magic is the fresh ingredients and the finely selected spices. Italy’s culinary traditions are deeply rooted in regional diversity. Each area has its own specialties to create the flavors of the culinary in italy, from the rich, hearty flavors of the north to the lighter, olive oil-based dishes of the south.

Pizza is made all over Italy, but its birthplace is probably Naples. Nowhere else in the world will you find so many pizza stores, restaurants, and stalls as in this city. And it doesn’t really matter which one you choose, the pizza tastes fantastic everywhere.

It’s thin with a crispy crust, the tomato sauce is made from local sun-ripened tomatoes and subtly seasoned, the cheese perfectly complements the flavors.

Of course, you can choose between different toppings, but you don’t really need to, the simple Margarita is absolutely good enough.

Besides pizza, pasta is the second world-famous dish that has found its perfection in Italy. Countless variations of the pasta itself, like penne, spaghetti, farfalle, rigatoni, and so on, can be combined with even more sauce variations. Whether spicy like arrabbiata, classic like bolognese, or creamy like carbonara, there are the most diverse variations and dishes. Not forgetting oven-baked pasta like lasagne.

Speciality of culinary in italy: Pizza and Pasta

Sweets:

The Italians certainly know how to cook hearty dishes. But their sweet dishes are also definitely presentable. If you like coffee and chocolate, don’t miss tiramisu. It is a layered dessert with coffee-soaked cookies and a mascarpone cream covered with cocoa.

A completely different dessert is the panna cotta, which is a sweet vanilla pudding that is delivered cold and can be served with different sauces, such as strawberry chocolate or caramel.

Another dessert that is part of the culinary in italy is ice cream. Not only does it taste particularly creamy and delicious there, but it is also ideal for cooling off in hot Italian temperatures.

Panna Cotta

An exceptional dessert that we would like to introduce to you is the Torta di Tagliatelle mentioned at the beginning.

This is sweetened pasta layered with almond-sugar paste. The taste is rounded off with a little liqueur. The sugar melts in the oven and the tartlet becomes very crispy once cooled,

Dont foget the drinks while talking about culinary in italy:

Italy is also a leader in beverages. One that has made it into the world’s morning routine: the coffee. In Italy, it is often drunk in its pure form as espresso or with frothed milk as cappuccino.

On the alcoholic side, Italy can offer a wide variety of wines. At least as well-known are the aperitif liqueurs which, depending on the region, can range from bitter to very sweet. These are often drunk in combination with wine or prosecco. The best known of these is probably the Aperol Spritz, similar to this there is also select spritz or limoncello.
